I’m humbled, and honored. And I'm shocked, because frankly, lately, I've been slacking due to lack of inspiration. But this is such a vote of confidence - one I'm truly grateful for. One I needed.
I work hard on this space, and it’s frustrating sometimes. When I feel like no one is reading, or I’m re-hashing the same material, or I’m in a creative drought and don’t know what to write about, or the topic seems lifeless, or a select few get vitriolic in the comments, I get frustrated. I want to give up. Yeah, I know. Wah! Wah! Wah! Here's the World's Tiniest Violin..."
But this vote of confidence tells me I’m on the right track. People are reading. People are noticing. I’m doing the right thing. I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing.
This is a total and complete fire under my ass to get moving, to get writing no matter what. Thank you for that. Sometimes you need a kick in the pants. This was mine.
